Overall coastal hospitality development project in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. 
Integrated Resort with 3 internally branded Hotels and Entertainment Centre near the existing Sihanoukville Autonomous Port with following features: 
  • 110 keys 5Star Hotel 
  • 400 keys 4 Star Hotel 
  • 350 keys 3 Star Hotel 
  • Entertainment center with 100 table casino (mass and VIP floors), retail, f&b, roof top pool club 
  • Immigration Building 
  • External features: pier/boardwalk, marina, beach nourishment 
  • GFA: 104,000m2, land area: appr. 6ha 

Construction Costs: 

  • Design-Build Contract: appr. 145 Mio USD 

Scope of Services

Design Review & Re-Analysis (Building Superstructure and Pile Foundation)
  • Act on behalf of the Client and serve as an independent checking consultant (structural checking engineer)
  • Design review and re-analysis to guarantee the safety of building structures and safely prevent hazards and to indicate / detect errors in the existing design
  • Review of the structural design calculations and design drawings provided by the Client
  • The consulting services were rendered in compliance with applicable international codes and standards (Eurocode) and considered the respective design requirements (i.e. hotel operator guidelines, Client’s project requirements etc.). 
  • The design review was conducted in particular with respect to the serviceability requirements e.g. limitations of deflections, reduction of sound transmission in order to fulfil the client’s and operators requirements
  • Checking of load assumption, input parameters of the structural analysis, re-analysis of the building superstructure & pile foundation
  • Compiling of results / reporting and documentation to the Client
Value Engineering and Optimization (Building Structure and Pile Foundation)
  • Review of existing design to improve technical and economically structural design solutions for building structure and pile foundation (materials, structural systems & dimensioning, construction methods etc.) in order to reduce construction costs and construction time
  • Evaluation of optimization potentials and finding of alternative design solutions
  • Linear and non-linear material and geometrical analysis by use of 2D and 3D FE-Software of alternative design solutions
  • Determination of design improvements and feasible alterations, determination of the technical and economically optimal structural design solution
  • Conducting detailed analysis and preparing construction drawings & BoQ
  • Reporting and documentation to the Client
